David McCoy lays on his bed while his mother comforts him and his sister reads bible verses to comfort him in his home in Ventura Calif., on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2008 after a hospital visit. Dave suffered from CPOD or Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease brought on from decades of cigarette smoking. Dave latter passed away in September of 2008. (Photo by Michael Thanhouser © 2008)
